A blood drive will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 in the County Administration Building Auditorium from 12:30pm-5:00pm. See the links below for information about the blood drive and how to make an appointment. In addition, valuable nutritional tips are available to help maintain your iron level before donating blood. These nutritional facts are extremely important in helping women maintain their iron levels prior to giving blood.

Human Services Community Exchange

There will be quarterly meetings where we have an exchange of information. We will share with you on our programs and services that can help your community and you can share with us on the needs of your community and how we can better serve you.

We encourage leaders from churches, community groups, municipalities, and neighborhoods to sign-up or designate a person to attend.

In Honor of Our Soldiers....

The Edgecombe County Veterans' Military Museum honors a deceased soldier on the first Monday of each month at 11:00 a.m. by raising a flag in his/her name. The ceremony is held on the Town Commons in Tarboro. Click here for a list of names to be honored.

Edgecombe and Nash Counties along with the City of Rocky Mount are leading an effort to develop a Vision and Strategic Plan for the Twin County Region. The Twin Counties Visioning and Strategic Plan Process is an opportunity for residents and community leaders to develop a road map for transforming the two-county region into a sustainable community that is prepared to participate in the new world economy. 

So far, the people in our region have come together to identify key issues and to create a vision statement. Now it is time to develop a strategy for the action we will take to reach our vision together. You can participate by serving in an Action Team or an Action Forum. Click here to learn more.
