The Emergency Management section serves the citizens of Edgecombe County through a four step process. These are planning/preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation for both natural and man made disasters.
The Emergency Medical Services section serves as the contact between County government and the highly trained outside agencies that serve the citizens of Edgecombe County.
The Fire Marshal section serves as the liaison between county government and the nine in-county and five out -of-county volunteer fire departments that serve the citizens of Edgecombe County. This section is also responsible for carrying out the requirements of the North Carolina Fire Prevention Code, as well as conducting fire education programs upon request.
The Edgecombe County Office of Emergency Services goal is to provide the highest level of service and care to the citizens of Edgecombe County through the coordinated efforts of both volunteer and career organizations working together prior to, during, and after an emergency.
