NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE EDGECOMBE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 7:00 PM in the Jonathan Felton Commissioners Room on the 2^nd floor of the County Administration Building located at 201 St. Andrew Street, Tarboro, North Carolina. The purpose of this public hearing is to consider and act on a proposed amendment in Chapter 10, Article III “Noise” of the County Ordinances: Section 10-82 “Penalty for violation of article”.

The proposed amendment would add a civil penalty of up to $500 for the violation of Edgecombe County’s noise ordinance. Click here for a copy of the proposed amendment. 

Those who would like to share their comments on this matter are encouraged to attend the meeting in person. You may also submit public comments via email to publiccomments@edgecombeco.com by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022.  Public comments may also be submitted by mail addressed to Eric Evans, County Manager, P.O. Box 10, Tarboro, NC 27886.  All public comments received by 5:00 p.m. on October 3rd will be read at the Board of Commissioners Meeting.
