County Manager Selects New Maintenance Director

Eric Evans, Edgecombe County Manager, is happy to announce the selection of Stan Liverman III as the County’s new Maintenance Director. Mr. Liverman will lead nine team members and is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the County’s sixteen buildings. In this role, he will also the lead the County’s capital improvement projects.

Mr. Liverman has fifteen years of experience in maintenance, working in both the public and private sector. His understanding of the many aspects of maintenance makes him well-prepared for the wide range of tasks required of the department.   

“I am very excited to have Stan on our team.”, said Eric Evans, County Manager. “I believe his knowledge will build upon the great work our Maintenance Department has always done, and help take us to another level of caring for the facilities entrusted to us.”

Mr. Liverman will report to Mr. Mike Matthews, Assistant County Manager, who has also been serving as the Interim Maintenance Director. Mr. Matthews stated, “Stan has a great understanding of County Maintenance. With his knowledge and the outstanding staff that he currently has, I believe he will be able to continue to build our Maintenance Department into something special.”

Mr. Liverman is an Edgecombe County native. He lives in Tarboro, NC, and has two children. Mr. Liverman stated “I am truly honored to serve the citizens of Edgecombe County. I am going to strive to maintain and improve all of Edgecombe Counties facilities and buildings. I am excited for the opportunity to build and grow a first-class maintenance department while continuing to work with the awesome team that is in place”.
