Public Notice of the Sale of Land

Take Notice, pursuant to N.C.G.S. 160A-267 and 160A-279, the Board of Commissioners of Edgecombe County, at the regularly scheduled meeting on February 4, 2019, approved a resolution authorizing the private sale of certain real property to the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church (“NCUMC”), which will hold title to the property as The Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Annual Conference, Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church, Inc., a North Carolina corporation. The two parcels of real property are identified as Edgecombe County Tax PIN Number 4737-84-8821-00, which is commonly known as 329 Ridgewood Road, and PIN Number 4739-55-3199-00, which is commonly known as 1205 Newsome Street, Tarboro, NC.  Edgecombe County makes this conveyance to NCUMC for the public purpose of NCUMC constructing housing for Edgecombe County citizens who were affected and displaced by Hurricane Matthew in 2016.
