Edgecombe County Offices Closed to In-Person Business

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, most Edgecombe County Government Offices are closed to in-person business. Staff members are working, and there are a number of ways you can get the services you need. Payments and documents can be left in a secure drop-box on the front of our building. Be sure to properly identify your document in a sealed envelope.

Both the Collections Office and the DMV-License Plate Agency in the County Administration Building are open to the public with certain protective measures in place. For the safety of our staff and customers we ask that you adhere to the following:

  • Do not enter our offices if you have a fever or any other COVID-19 symptom;
  • Remain behind physical barriers that are in place at our counters;
  • While waiting in line for service, follow signs and distance yourself at least 6 feet from the next person;
  • Wear a face covering;
  • Refrain from entering any other areas except for the Collections Office and the DMV-LPA; and
  • Use remote methods to conduct business if at all possible (by mail, online or outdoor drop-box).

The Water & Sewer Office is now open on a modified schedule. Monday- Friday 10 AM- 12PM & 2 PM - 4 PM
 Some of your business with the Water & Sewer Department can be conducted over the phone and some forms can be emailed to you to complete. Just call 252-823-3042
