911 Communications
The Communications Center consist of eleven full-time employees and two part-time employees. The Communications staff consists of a Communications Director, Assistant Communications Director, four (4) Communication Supervisors and five (5) Telecommunicators. The center is manned 24 hours 7 days a week. Every Telecommunicator is certified by the North Carolina Sheriff’s Standards, DCI certified by the State Bureau of Investigations, and EMD (Emergency Medical Dispatch) certified by Priority Dispatch.
The center receives and dispatches calls for the Sheriff’s Office, Edgecombe County Rescue Squads, ten (10) County Fire Departments, Animal Control and the Princeville Police Department. The Communications Center also receives all none business hour calls for the various Departments of Edgecombe County.

- someone is hurt
- if you see fire of smell smoke
