The Technicians are responsible for serving the County buildings which includes: Edgecombe County Administration Building, Edgecombe County Courthouse, Edgecombe County Detention Center and the Jail Annex, Edgecombe County Health with locations in Tarboro and Rocky Mount, Edgecombe County Department of Social Services with locations in Tarboro and Rocky Mount, Edgecombe County Animal Shelter and State of NC Community Corrections of Tarboro.

The Maintenance Department also maintains the Alford Building, which is located on the corner of Tarboro and Washington Street in Rocky Mount.  The Alford Building, NC Community Corrections of NC, Edgecombe County Pretrail Release Program along with Edgecombe County Resourse Center.

The Maintenance Department also carries some responsibilities for Edgecombe County Community College, Department of Motor Vehicles of Tarboro, and County Memorial Library with locations in Tarboro and Pinetops and the Tarboro Edgecombe Chamber of Commerce.

The Head Janitor is responsible for 5-Custodians which take great care of Edgecombe County Administration Building, Edgecombe County Courthouse, N.C. Department of Motor Vehicles and State of N.C. Community Corrections.
