WIC is a Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture

- Healthy foods: Milk, Juice, Cheese, Eggs, Cereal, Peanut Butter, Dried Beans and Peas, Infant Formula and Infant Cereal
- Nutritional information, Infant Feeding, Nutrition for Healthy Pregnancy, Child Growth and Development, Special Diets and Food Buying
- Breastfeeding Support
- Electric Breast Pump Rental to WIC participants - FREE of Charge

The WIC office is open Monday thru Friday, 8am-5pm
Eligibility
All kinds of families qualify for WIC. You may or may not be working. You may be a student. You may be single or married. You may live with your parents. WIC is for: Pregnant women, Breastfeeding women who have had a baby in the last 12 months, Infants (birth to 1 year), and Children (1 year to 5 years of age)
To qualify you must:
- Meet WIC income guidelines
- Have a health risk factor (based on height/weight measurements, blood test for low iron, health and diet history)
- Applicants must be seen at the WIC site to determine eligibility
- If you receive Medicaid or Food Stamps, you meet income guidleines for WIC
Appointment Procedure
You can come to the office to make an appointment, but it is best to call. You must be able to provide Proof of Identification, Residence, and Household Income. Examples are Driver's License, Medicaid Card, Water or Electric Bill, Telephone Bill and Recent Paycheck. In addition, the person scheduled for the WIC appointment must come to the WIC office as well.
What Happens at a WIC Visit?
- Your income information will be reviewed
- You will be asked questions about your health and your diet
- Height, weight, and blood test for iron deficiency will be done unless you bring the information from another clinic or doctor's office
- A Nutritionist will review the above information to see if you are eligible for WIC
- Any nutrition problems or questions you have will be discussed
- If eligible, you will be given food instruments to take to the store to get your food
