I, and the Social Services Board, welcome you to the Edgecombe County Department of Social Services page. We are proud of the work of the Agency. Whether investigating child abuse or pursuing child support from an absent parent, agency staff is dedicated, loyal employees who put the interest of the client first. The arena of public Social Services is changing as we move to improve our economic support programs, increase protection of children, reduce time in child foster acre, improve child support paternity and collections, and protect the frail and elderly. Your thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated by the Social Services Board, Director and staff. The following identifies the Social Services Board members and Agency Management Staff:

Welcome to our Website. We hope you find information that is helpful. Our services and efforts are geared toward our Mission Statement which is stated elsewhere on the website. As a County Department of Social Services, our services are available to citizens on a county wide basis. We seek to help! Due to ever changing governmental rules and regulations, we recognize that our role can be confusing, we apologize for the confusion and pledge to interact with you in as respectful manner as possible so as to remove or reduce any level of confusion. We want to help! We want our contacts with you to e positive and productive for you, keeping in mind the rules and regulations that govern Social Services in North Carolina. Now, please help us as we truly desire to form Partnerships with Families and Communities to enhance the families’ quality of life. You can help us thru volunteering with community support groups of your choice and supporting our efforts as best you can.
