Any special data requests may involve a charge for setup time and media costs.
The files are posted with the intent that they will be used by trained GIS users. Edgecombe County does ESRI (ArcGIS, ArcView, ArcInfo, etc.) for our GIS applications, but as it is the most common format for data requests, it is what we are making available. Edgecombe County staff will not be able to assist you with any questions you may have about how to use shapefiles or any of the programs which can use them.

This application is currently in testing, and the ownership data will not be as up-to-date as that found in the Online Tax Info application.

This interface also has a larger number of map layers to select from, as well as some advanced tools such as Street Search, which helps to find an address which may not be listed in the tax data. Other advanced features scheduled to be available include the ability to get information on all of the parcels adjoining one in question or all parcels within a radius of some point you select.
Currently in testing is a free-standing WebMapping Application named "GeoBlocks Web". This link will take you to a Map Interface which bypasses the need to go through the WebPAAS Tax System. In this interface, you have similar search capabilities by name, address, deed, or parcel, but you also have the ability to zoom into a particular area of interest and find properties without knowing any of the ownership information.
