All the data provided here are in ESRI shapefile format, compressed into zip files.
Edgecombe County does not use ESRI (ArcGIS, ArcView, ArcInfo, etc.) for our GIS applications, but as it is the most common format for data requests, it is what we are making available. Edgecombe County staff will not be able to assist you with any questions you may have about how to use shapefiles or any of the programs which can use them.
These files are posted with the intent that they will be used by trained GIS users.
Any special data requests may involve a charge for setup time and media costs.
